Christmas Mini Album

Wow!!  I can't believe that Christmas is almost here!!  I love this time of year!!
I still need to decorate a little bit more but it will be done soon....

The challenge last week for the design team at SweetSassyDiva was to create a mini album!!  I really enjoyed seeing the different albums that the design team made!  It made me realize that I really wanted some kind of binding system...  So I watched HSN on Sunday night and purchased a YourStory!!  I cannot wait for it to arrive!!

Here is my mini album...  Click HERE for the details...
In the next day or so I will be inserting pictures of my family to give as a Christmas present to my husband's grandmother.

First opening...
Pockets were made by taking a 5.5x8 piece of cardstock and score in the middle at 4 inches.
Fold in half and then fold one side down to create your pocket.
Place sticky tape on the bottom and side as shown in the picture below...
Cut your mat pieces and adhere.
I had a little oopsie with the pink paper that probably will be covered up with an embellishment or picture.
Second opening...
Cutting, layering and punching!!  I got a new punch!!  Love it!!
Third opening...
I had to be really careful with the cuts on this opening...  I probably could have used my Gypsy but I'm haven't mastered that yet.
Fourth and fifth opening...
Super simple cutting and layering!!
I used almost the entire stack of paper and I will use the rest for a card to match.  Sweet!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Have a great week!!

Christmas Ornaments...

Hello all!  I was super excited when a certain package arrived the other day!!  Oh my goodness!!  Post-it Craft Paper!!  This paper is really awesome and I love it!!!  It is so easy to use and looks great!  It really is cut, peel and stick!!  Thank you so much for letting me try out this wonderful product!!

My project this week was to use the Post-it Craft Paper!  So, I used it to personalize ornaments purchased from my Celebrating Homes consultant.  I flipped the letters from the Gypsy Font Shadow so I could use the adhesive side for glitter!  I am beginning to really love glitter!!  It was really easy and quick to do once I figured out which color I could part with...  Just take off the backing and pour your glitter on!!

After glittering, I used clear adhesive dots to attach to plastic paper.  Probably would have been okay without the plastic paper but I thought that it needed to be a little thicker.  The ornament had a raised circle where I wanted to attach the initial.  The finished product looks perfect!!

Recipe:
Gypsy - Gypsy Font Shadow (flip the letters)
Post-it Craft Paper
Plastic/Acrylic paper
Glitter
Clear adhesive dots

Another fun project using the Post-it Craft Paper...  Labels!  I love to organize so this was actually the first thing I did after opening the package!!  I used an image from the Imagine More cartridge with patterned paper from the Better Together cartridge.  Love to cache patterns!  The original image is the green label.  I also made smaller labels for the pockets on the inside.  Might be able to see that in a video soon!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
Have a great weekend!!

Hello all!!!  Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!  We had a fantastic time with both of our families!!  Did a little shopping on Black Friday afternoon!!  Slept in for the first time in years!!!  And I didn't know that Walmart was starting their sale at midnight!!  So, I missed out on the Jolly Holidays Cricut cartridge...  I did get Twinkle Toes cartridge though...  I may go back and get the Inspired Heart cartridge - They were still there last night...  Also, the Expressions were marked down to $150!!  Wow!!

When I got back on Sunday there were a couple of packages waiting for me!!  Shall We Dance and my free Color Ink!!  Lori's Garden arrived last week!!  Can't wait to play!!

Here is my little paper tree...  Just playing around last week!!
Saw the idea different places online and in a few magazines!!  I've added Stickles and will add some buttons and such probably this week...

Gypsy in the House!!!

Yay!!!  This is so exciting and so overwhelming at the same time!!!  The gypsy that I won came in the mail on Saturday!!  I was able to update it today but still can't figure out how to link it with my Imagine...  I think we're supposed to wait anyway...  I can't wait until I can make some cuts and figure it out!!!

I made this really quick before leaving for my retreat on Friday...  It was a working retreat and I needed a notebook so I prettied up a composition notebook before I left!!  Pretty quick and awesome!!!

Our retreat was at Western Hills Lodge so I was able to swing through Tulsa on my way there...  Michaels, Joann, Starbucks, Cokesbury, Girl Scout Store and Loops!!  What a trip!!  If I'm making the drive, might as well make it count, right??  I wanted to see the Imagine endcap at Michaels...  They had a few things out but some were still being unloaded!  Joann had some awesome Girl Scout paper and embellies!!  I'm thinking Christmas present for my new Daisy!!  Also, the reason for going to the Girl Scout store...

And Loops...  Oh how I love to go to the yarn store!!  I was hoping to have enough time to sit and knit at the store but it didn't happen!!  I did swing in there really quick and picked up some Chibi needles... I was planning to finish my socks there but I finished them last night while watching 'Up in the Air' with my hubby!!  Yay!!

The sky was overcast but it was so beautiful there!!  It rained pretty hard on Saturday for a little while!
I love sunset!!

Until next time...
Have a great week!!

Design Team Submissions

Hello everyone!!!  It's super late here but I wanted to post my projects for the design teams that I'm applying for...  I am absolutely loving the Cricut Imagine!!!  The learning process is still going strong and I am so thankful for all the blogs out there that talk about the Imagine!!!  Without them I would be lost!!!

The two design teams that I am applying for are...  Creative Critterz Imaginations and Sweet Sassy Diva.  I have no other design team experience and I am a Cricut newbie with the Imagine being the first Cricut machine that I have ever owned!!!

Here are my latest finished projects using the Imagine...  Thanks for looking and ENJOY!!!

From the Better Together Art Cartridge...  A thank you card...  This is my favorite card so far.  Every time I make a new card it becomes my favorite!!  I used 3D squares behind the flower and behind the border of the sentiment...  I added texture to the flower using my Fiskars plates from several years ago!

From the Imagine More Art Cartridge...  Spread your wings wall hanging...  It originally was a Christmas decoration tray but it needed a coat of paint and a new life!!  I used a turquoise card stock from my paper stash but everything else was printed on the Imagine.

From the stock images and the Imagine More Art cartridge...  Fall pumpkins...  Do you think it's missing something???  I'm still searching for the perfect stamp for the sentiment!!!  I really wanted to show this card to you all because the only image that I used from the cartridge were the borders at the bottom...  The pumpkins and squares behind them are the stock images that come with the Imagine.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back!!
Have a great weekend!!!

Excitement at 3am!!!

Hello!!  This week is just flying by!!  I started this post yesterday and was going to finish it up by inserting pictures of my latest projects!!  But...  My camera charger has gone missing!!  I must find it before our family reunion this weekend!!!  Aaaahhh!!!

Since I can't post pictures of my latest finished projects...  This is my card tree!!  A few Pinecone Press Kit cards...  I love kits!!!  I will post more pictures of my finished projects hopefully tomorrow when I find my charger!!

Projects that I want to do this week...
     Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge
     Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge
     Tags for Christmas ornaments
     Finish knitting my socks
     Start knitting another baby hat
     Make more cards

There are a couple of other challenges that I want to participate in but haven't done it yet...  I am really enjoying seeing what other people create!!!  Such great inspiration!!  Also, I'm debating on whether or not to apply to be on a design team...  It's a brand new blog for the Cricut Imagine...  Hmmmm....  We'll see!!

The excitement at 3am was...

I won a GYPSY!!  Oh my goodness!!  I was up late checking in on the blogs that I follow...  Well...  The other day, I entered a contest to win a Gypsy through the new Cricut Circle Blog design team!  Each DT member had two to give away!!  The drawing was held on SATURDAY!!  Provo Craft surprized everyone with a third Gypsy to give away.  I was lucky number 3 at Nancy's blog, The Paper Orchard.  Still shocked and amazed that I actually will have a Gypsy in my hands soon!!  I will definitely be stalking the mail!!!  I have no idea how to use it but I will have fun learning how!!

Have fun this week!!!!
